How could your town centre be transformed with the power of smart digital technology & data?
‘A smart town is an urban area that uses different types of electronic methods and sensors to collect data. Insights gained from that data are used to manage assets, resources, and services efficiently; in return, that data is used to improve operations and future prosperity across the town.’ (Source: Smart Towns Cymru)
Town centres across Wales are already experiencing the benefits of:
-
Understanding visitor patterns to fine-tune opening hours, stock, and staffing
-
Reducing waste and streamlining processes.
-
Understanding the visitor profile for more effective marketing strategies.
-
Increasing footfall and attracting more visitors.
-
Planning ahead by anticipating the effects of weather, events, and other factors.
-
Creating a greener and cleaner environment.
-
Helping local businesses thrive and creating vibrant town centres.
